Bio

Dr. Howard L. Haronian, Chief Medical Director and Vice President / East Region of Hartford HealthCare Heart & Vascular Institute, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with deep ties to Southern New England.

Dr. Haronian, a RI native, spent more than two decades building private-practice cardiology services in Westerly, RI, and Mystic, CT while serving on the interventional cardiology faculty of Yale New Haven Hospital / Yale School of Medicine.

Now, as the first interventional cardiologist to join the Hartford HealthCare Medical Group, Dr. Haronian maintains a clinical practice in Westerly, RI, Mystic, and Hartford; and provides interventional services to all referred HHC patients in the Hartford Hospital Cardiac Cath Lab.

Dr. Haronian, a graduate of Brown University in Providence, attended medical school at Cornell University Medical College in NYC, and completed a residency at The New York Hospital, before returning to New England for a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine, nuclear cardiology, and interventional cardiology at Yale.
